the 80 baht pic

It all started with sis wanting to take the pic with the boards. Being a nice sister, I agreed with Eve helping us to snap the pic from my camera. Upon snapping the pic, we were approached by a local who appeared to be resting in a pavilion for 40 baht. She pointed to the 40 baht painted at the bottom of the board (sis posing with) for money, explaining to us that we need to pay for posing with the board. After collecting the money from sis, she turned and demanded another 40 baht from me. We were all too shocked to react logically that we end up giving her 80 baht for this pic!!!

To react logically, i should have
1) Argued with her that only one board is painted with the 40 baht sign (and thus we could have save on the other 40 baht)
2) Argued with her that she should have told us the cost earlier since she noticed that we had the intention to take pictures with 'her' boards.
3) Since I have to use my own camera and friend to help me take the pic, i should have bargained for a lower payment since she insisted that we have to pay "40 baht each".
4) simply carried her boards away after payment... since i have already paid for it by my defination.

Lesson learnt: Never just assume that these boards are "free" for u to take pictures with. Made sure you have scrutinized every corner on the board that no money sign was painted. Even if it's a number, you better think twice.
